Magical Musings Monday – Three Little Words

So often, it just takes three little words to change our day and even our lives.

Life is good.

Look for the good and you’ll find the good, look for the bad and you’ll find the bad. If I think I’m have a bad day I only need to remind myself that…. Life is good.

Do your best.

Sometimes it helps to remember that at any given time, on any given day, I’m doing the best I can with who I am. We are all doing our best, whatever that may be. And as we all know, sometimes our best is better than others. So go out there and…. Do your best.

Go for it.

The greatest risk is the risk not taken. When fear threatens to hold us back from our greater good, it helps to push ourselves forward …. Go for it.

I love you.

Three of the most powerful words. They have the ability to change our day, and certainly our lives. Don’t hold back, say them often. Say them to yourself. Right here, right now, tell yourself ….. I love you.

Enjoy always,  T

Magical Musings Monday – Happy For No Reason

clapping handsIf you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands.
If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands.
If you’re happy and you know, then your face will surely show it.
If you’re happy and know it, clap your hands.

A nice little children’s song. As you read those words did the melody play in your head? Of course it did. And did it lift your spirits, even just a little? I hope so.

There’s something about singing a silly song that’s just plain fun. It’s kind of like being happy for no reason. What if you sang a silly song at work?  You may want to sing it quietly to yourself, or sing it out loud, depending on your work conditions and/or your singing voice. Wouldn’t it provide a little lift to your day?

What I’m saying here, is that if you want, you can give yourself a boost and be happy at any time for no reason, just because you can.  Yes, you can. Happiness has been known to make us more productive, and of course you’ll enjoy your day more being happy than not. Also, people will like being around you more. We all like happy people.

SO…. we can drag ourselves through our day, or we can sing and be happy for no reason. I’ve done both and I’m a big fan of being happy. Sometimes I have to kinda work at being happy, like singing a happy tune, but I always feel better for it.

Some say fake it until you make it. I’m not a fan of that but I’m not against it either. I prefer to practice until I get it. Practice, practice, practice. Practice until you get it and then practice some more.

And most importantly……

Enjoy always, T

Magical Musings Monday

Life is a grand reason for celebration.

campfire-beachAs a US  nation, we recently celebrated our Independence and the birth of America. As we move deeper into summer, we often find reasons to gather together to celebrate good times, long weekends, and get-away vacations.

It’s human nature to want to celebrate our good times, like weddings, babies, promotions and anniversaries. That usually means a party, which can be anything from an over-the-top elaborate wedding to just meeting with friends for drinks or dinner after work. Think of all the romantic connections that have been made at parties, especially weddings.

Parties just naturally create an atmosphere for creative connections.

How many times have we heard someone say they met at a party, and it just clicked from there?  Being at a party puts us in the mood to have a good time and gives us a reason to open up to meeting new people. After all, one of the reasons why we go to parties is to meet people, old friends and new.

When we keep our eyes and our hearts open, life sends us the most delicious adventures. Sometimes, if we’re lucky and the stars are aligned, we meet that certain someone who makes our toes curl.

Aren’t we lucky life gives us so many reasons to party?

OMG, what a busy summer this is. I’ve been working behind the scenes to get four, yes 4, books ready to release. Three of them are actually re-releases of my first three books, but they’ve been re-edited and cleaned up, and have pretty, shiny new covers for their re-release. They’ve even been given new titles, and a series name to go with their make-over. Pretty exciting stuff.

To kick off these exciting second editions, I have written a new novella to add to the beginning of the group, called appropriately enough, A Time To Begin, Book One of the MacNicol Clan Through Time series. These are my time-travel Scottish historical books that got me started writing, and are kinda my love babies. I’m excited to see them get a second chance to spread joy and entertainment out into the world of romance readers.

The series is now called the MacNicol Clan Through Time, and the books to be re-released are as follows:

Return In Time will become A Time To Return

Somewhere To Belong will become A Time To Belong

Away Over-Yonder will become A Time To Forgive

The original publisher of these books, sadly, went out of business. But when one door closes, another one opens, and I have this grand opportunity to publish these sweet stories again under Kingsburg Press. Who doesn’t love a second chance type of romance, and for these sweet babies, this is their second chance to be read and loved by you.

Big Six O

Today I hit the Big Six O, as in 60, as in half-a-century-plus-a-decade, as in 50 + 10. Regardless, it all adds up to lots of years. I suppose I shouldn’t reveal my age, but it’s kinda hard to pretend this Bday isn’t happening.

Not that I mind. I was born to be alive, and I’m still here, so I must be doing something right. Or maybe I’m just not done yet. I’m feeling pretty good about hitting this landmine, urr, I mean benchmark.

Hitting a new decade seems like a good time to look back and look forward. I looked back at the early days of this web site and noticed that for several months, I published new blog posts about twice a week. How ambitious of me. Eventually, that slowed to twice a month, and lately it’s been a bad case of whenever. I’m not thinking of doing the twice a week thing again, but maybe I can do twice a month.

Anyway, I have some big plans in the works that I’m looking forward to. There’s a New book to release, and a few older ones to Re-release since the original publisher, like so many other small indie-publishers, has gone out of business. I will keep you informed on this plans as they move forward.

For now, I just wanted to say, Hey, I’m still here, and feeling good. Life is good, and I am blessed.

Enjoy always, T
