Cheers and Happy New Year

Well, we’ve all gotten through the Christmas season, some of us better than others, and are on to the new year. Let’s hope 2018 is far, far better than 2017. Even if your 2017 was good, we can always hope for better.  Not that my 2017 was bad. Actually, as a writer, I would say it was one of my best.

Allow me to recap 2017.

I re-edited, re-packaged, and re-released my first three books of my MacNicol Clan series and added a new, never before released before prequel. This included getting shiny, new covers done by the Killion Group and re-branding the series.
The MacNicol Clan Through Time series:
Book 1 – A Time to Begin (the new prequel)
Book 2 – A Time To Return  (formerly: Return In Time)
Book 3 – A Time To Belong (formerly: Somewhere To Belong)
Book 4 – A Time To Forgive  (formerly: Away Over-Yonder)

I also released a new Jules Vanderzeit Gilded Age novel, Until You Love Me, which is one of my favorites. (Note of honesty: everyone of my books is one of my favorites.)

And at the end of December, I finished writing my next Jules Vanderzeit Gilded Age novel, Until She Says Yes. This is so new, I haven’t even blogged about it yet. I’ve been too busy writing it! So you’re hearing about it here first. I plan to release this book in mid 2018. I’ve just sent it off to my wonderful editor and have a beta reader looking it over to give me her perspective. As an author, this is all very exciting.

OUTSIDE of writing, I’ve put in more hours as a tour guide/event assistant in the San Francisco Bay area. I love this semi-retirement/part-time job. It gets me out of the house and I get to hang with some really fun people who are out having a really great time. Not a bad gig.

So even if the economic and political landscape hasn’t been all roses and peach blossoms, I won’t complain. Mostly, because I think folks don’t like to hear anyone complain, and I especially don’t like to hear myself complain. I’d much rather smile, and keep on laughing. As I say on my tours: Bring the happy with you.

Cheers to a truly Happy New Year. May you enjoy always. T
