Wonderfully Supportive.
On Veterans Day, a day when we stop to remember all the good and noble people who have served the U.S. in the armed forces, I am very thankful for all of us who support each other in our daily endeavors. BTW, I served in the Navy four years active and two years reserve, and am a certifiable vet. Thanks, it was my pleasure.
Today is the Veterans Day holiday observed in the US, and since I work for a bank, I have the day off. I have been using my morning to cruise the internet for fellow bloggers, authors, writers services, cover designs and artists, blogs, etc, you name it. I gave myself this little block of playtime as I usually find there’s way too much stuff to look at in my limited time allotted, and today of course is no different. I could cruise for hours and only see a smidgen of what’s out there. (oh wait, that is exactly what I’ve been doing.) I have a number of blog buddies, but it’s hard to find the time to read all of their wonderful posts. I LEA them all. (LEA = like, enjoy, appreciate)
But, with all that said, what I really want to say is how wonderfully supportive everyone is to each other (more often then not). For the most part, we tend to love life, and life loves us back.
Now, isn’t that Grand and Glorious on a major scale?
God bless us humans, we really have it going on.
Enough said, Enjoy Always. T
BTW, will be back soon with more ABC’s of Romance. Hope you’ve enjoyed reading them as much as I have writing them. It’s been such fun.
In a Gratitude Attitude.
I just came from a WOW meeting at Unity. WOW stands for Women Of Wonder and we always have great speakers and heartfelt participation from our group. Wednesday’s focus was on abundance and affluence. I was reminded of how helpful it is to be grateful for everything good in my life and how focusing on the good brings more good into my life. It’s that old law of attraction thing. We attract that which we focus on. So today I’m focusing on a list of things I LEA, Like, Enjoy and Appreciate.
I LEA: making love, any time of the day when the mood hits * dark chocolate, I hear it’s good for you! * the ocean, I could watch ocean waves for hours * sunshine and warm days, I like it warm, not too hot, not too cold, but just right * reading a good book, usually romance but not always, I do have other interests * laughing, usually at myself, it’s the best kind of fun * The Big Bang Theory, TV show, it always makes me laugh, which is good for anything that ails you * ying and yang, because balance is so important * gazing off into the distance, as if I’m in deep thought but I’m probably just gazing * full moons, half moons, crescent moons, moon light, as you can see, I have a thing for moons * fairies, I do believe in them * trees, I think I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree * roses, or just about any flowers * romantic kisses, God bless romantic kisses * sleeping, I’m a big fan of a good night’s sleep * a wink and a smile, if you have one or the other, pass them on * dragon flies, butter flies, fire flies, you know, lite little things with wings (see fairies) * pink flamingos, I really, really lea pink flamingos * pictures of my kids, can’t get enough of them and they’re so beautiful (just saying) * pictures of my friends and family, always like to see what they’re up to now * needlework, pretty little beads and crazy quilts, it’s so me, the crazy thing I mean * the colors yellow and orange, they’re such happy colors
I know this is a rather long list, but I think, the longer the better. And I always LEA longer and better.
I hope you found something to make you smile today. Tell me something you LEA. Something, anything, one thing, or many many more. It’s all good.
Have fun and Enjoy always, T
Cheers, May you LEA the New Year, 2012.
Not a very original blog title. Happy New Year and welcome 2012. Bring it on. I’ve heard all about how this is going to be the BIG one. This will either be the year of doom and gloom or it’ll be one of great, glorious, amazing comic changes that will blow our minds. Whatever!
It’s only the first week of the year, so it’s a bit early to be worried about what may happen all the way in December. So I won’t. I’ve have other things on my mind, like taking down the Christmas decorations because this was the only weekend I was going to have until the end of January. And that’s just a little too long to watch the pine needles drop onto the carpet.
I was also thinking about the word ‘love’ and how much we use and perhaps abuse that word. I’m not talking about when we say I Love you to someone special. I don’t believe we can ever say that too often, unless you exceed 122 times in one day. That might qualify as excessive.
In this case I’m thinking of when I hear someone say something along the lines of “I love this wine,” or “I’d love to have pasta for dinner.” I’m thinking what they really mean is something closer to they would ‘like, enjoy and appreciate’ having pasta for dinner.Or maybe they ‘like, enjoy and appreciate’ the wine they’re getting drunk on drinking. So in a desire to bring better understanding to our conversation, when we really ‘like, enjoy and/or appreciate’ something I’m suggesting we use the word ‘lea’. It’s kind of like LOL, laughing out loud, but unlike LOL, lea is actually a word that you can pronounce.
So, did you lea the holidays? I hope they were everything you hoped they would be. I’d really lea hearing about them.
Well, I’ll give it a try and see how it goes. A new year, a new word. Sounds good to me. Every new word had to start somewhere. Maybe lea can start here. How grand would that be? I would lea that!
Happy New Year and Enjoy always, T
